does vegan leather smell like fish?
Synthetic leather is made with PU or PVC and emits a smell that is fish-like due to the chemicals it is made from. It can be very hard to get rid especially while trying not to ruin the material. PVC can also outgas dangerous toxins that give off this nasty smell.
Aiya ayiA does not use synthetic materials as they are toxic. We use vegan plant leather that is made from natural ingredients such as coconut water, banana-sisal-hemp fibers and natural resins. It has no odor to it.
