Various materials can be used to create ethical vegan leather, such as pineapple leather or mushroom or mycelium leather, plant leather and recycled materials. Each of these materials has different environmental impacts and characteristics, so it's essential to research and choose brands that prioritize ethical and sustainable practices.
Aiya ayiA uses plant leather made of natural ingredients leftover from agricultural waste such as coconut water, banana fibers, hemp fibers and sisal fibers. Our leather is dyed using flowers and tree bark without any harmful coatings, toxic chemicals, petroleum, and plastics.
We believe in ethical practices and fair living wages. Our leather is ethically made, working directly with farmers to collect the waste material and providing them with supplementary income. Our collection is locally made in Montreal, Canada by local artists and specialists to ensure the highest level of quality.
We donate 1% of our profits to empower others and help to ensure everyone has equal access to choice and opportunity without prejudice or bias.
